Kirk Andrés Wilson is a Professional Entertainer and Jazz Musician from Louisiana, USA. Growing up near New Orleans, he has a very soulful sound. His single "Wonderful World" has entered the top 10 in Billboards™ Top 100 Singles!    His debut CD, "My Love" is distributed internationally and is available in retail stores everywhere. His continued efforts to share his music and live performances around the world are a result of inspiration as a composer, producer and artist.

As an artist and musician, he has performed for the Governor of California, the Arch Bishop to the Queen of England, the Mayor of Los Angeles, Saddleback Church, West Angeles Bible Church and CEO Executives in Asia and Europe. He has also performed with Grammy winning artists, Stevie Wonder, Ray Parker, Jr., Norman Connors, 1500 or Nothin’ Band, and the late Ricky Lawson.

From within his parent’s gospel group, church and accomplished Grandfather, his unique musical character was developed. Being a jazz musician is the obvious result of his family heritage and virtue. Receiving a full scholarship, his education at “Southeastern Louisiana State” and “Southern University” included lessons from local musical icons such as: Mr. Alvin Batiste, Mr. Ellis Marsalis, Dr. David Evenson and Mrs. Gretchen Magee (teacher of Bill Evans). This allowed him to maximize his rich Family and New Orleans heritage. His mentor and instructor, Alvin Batiste also introduced him to Digital Audio Music Production Techniques on PC.

His experience with Dizzy Gillespie, Carmen McRae, The Williams Brothers, Luther Barnes, The Mississippi Mass Choir and appearances on The Bobby Jones Gospel Show (a national television gospel music program on BET) gave him much experience for his artistry and development. 

 

The Kirk Wilson Band has become a regular attraction at Downtown Disneyland. Dixieland, Ragtime, Traditional Jazz, Blues, Cajun, Zydeco, Bossa Nova, Samba, Swing, Contemporary and Bebop are styles that audiences are often touched by and at times, brought to tears. His unique baritone voice communicates the spirit of the message of a song to his audience with a subtle and humble attitude. Toddlers dance, teens "name that tune" and mature audiences reminisce as Wilson touches the hearts of all ages.

As an active contributor in Hollywood and Burbank studios, Wilson records with an impressive list of producers.  One to notice is, the New Line Cinema™ Box Office Motion Film, “Semi Pro” starring Will Farrell. He has also recorded on an impressive list of singles, demos and commercials.
